It has been brought to my attention that I have been remiss in sending the usual weekly at risk summaries, and we can't be having that now can we?
Must have been the werebats, they're big them things, a supernatural combination of vampire bat with rabid werewolf. I forget why we made them in the first place, think it was something to do with the cloning of Dolly, we figured society needed to see exactly where things were going, to see how quickly we were circling the drain of existence.
So we blended the bugga's.
Interesting creatures, small head looking like a shrunken Boston terrier, oversized fangs, big furry body and scaly wings with a 7 ft span. They were initially successful in being used for covert night operations in Eastern Block countries (where things like that are expected to lurch out at you) though the numbers started to dwindle and as we were drunk when we created them we couldn't remember how to make more.
I think the main problem was they couldn't replicate, we should have seen this coming; I mean you combine a vampire bat with a canine and what do you get? A dog with very large fangs that on the very first time he/she 'cleans' itself becomes a gelding.
Things like that play on my mind, especially the visual aspects, need time to work it all through, I tried using rose tinted glasses but happy people scare me, especially in prison, just this morning I threatened a prisoner with referral to Forensics cause every time I saw him he was smiling, bloody unnatural, prefer sunglasses, scowls, threats, bad coffee and my mantra -
"Nobody likes you, Every body hates you, You're going to lose".
Nothing like low expectations to remain centered.
Think I'm going to need a good psychiatrist (Forensic) for my son. 4 year old Connor told Heidi a joke the other day -
"Mummy, Why did the chicken lay an egg on the road?"
"I don't know, Why did the chicken lay an egg on the road?"
"So it will be crushed and the Hen cries"
Considering he wet the bed last night and enjoys fire I think he has just completed the ancient unholy triptych of the psychopath.
I couldn't be prouder.
