Diary of a Psych Nurse

There has been voiced concern about the individual known as David George Barnett (hatched 05.10.1972). This concern is not new and comes from many sources. The main drive behind this negatively geared enquiry has been from evidence he himself penned. These writings are created each Friday (or the end of his working week) and sent via E-mail attached to his risk summaries of the prisoners he looks after. David does not seem to have acquired a filter to select that which he should say that which he should not and what is not appropriate to communicate to others, many in Forensic Psychiatry, Corrections Management and his superiors.

Part of David’s ‘problem’ is that he does not believe anyone is his superior and carries on in his antisocial, narcissistic, arrogant and megalomaniacal manner when ever and wherever he is. This is evident when looking at even a few of the writings ‘we’ have collected.

We must opine that working almost 15 years in Forensic Psychiatry is not good for ones mind, though we have reports from before David entered this field that he was disturbed, sarcastic and antiauthoritarian long before he was interred at Mason Clinic and then Prison. We do not have time for the nature vs. nurture debate here and must focus instead on the reality of the disordered individual who by mere reference to this document is not improving and indeed only getting worse.

What ‘we’ have done is to collate the ‘At Risk’ summary documents he has sent and copied the attached rants which were his summary introduction. Unfortunately we could only go back to 2004 as he has managed to hide two (2) others years that we know of when he was in operation in Mt Eden Prison. All reported dates are accurate and nothing has been altered in format or content.

‘We’ do not expect many reading this to understand many of his rambling discourses though this is part of the reason we have compiled them. Many mental health professionals (the very ones voicing concern about his state of mind) have no idea what he is on about.

This diary should be read with care as ‘we’ would not want untainted minds to be warped towards his way of thinking. Outbreaks of paranoia, fear and speaking in tongues have been reported as a side effect of these discourses when read singularly and so in a concentrated form extreme caution should be used. David’s thought form and content are considered by ‘us’ as dangerous and to be avoided at all costs. ‘We’ have compiled the rants of this lunatic as a warning to the general public and to those who have the misfortune of working with him.

Whilst we have gathered this evidence it remains difficult to actualize David George Barnett’s committal and removal from the place he is in now. He continues to operate in his disorganized, paranoid and demented manner. We only hope this compiled literature is enough to warn those that mistakenly believe he has any grip on reality and knows what he is talking about. He is iconoclastic and as such not to be trusted in any structured environment. He expects to find others sympathetic to his cause and we believe this to be a weakness we can exploit, do not confront him with this missive we have compiled, agree with him, gain his trust, then come to us and we will do the rest. We suggest you advising him your favorite author is the lamented Hunter.S.Thompson, this will open more doors then a skeleton key.

We must sign off in his name so as not to appear involved and also to further incriminate him.
