If any of you are having trouble operating the fax machine, here is a tip.

In front of any number you must now start with #1, then the number.

Obviously the speed dialled numbers will not work.

I tried to get the fucken machine to fax Unichem most of the afternoon, (well intermittently as my attention span last 5 minutes max, and that’s on sex) to no avail. So I thought to do something proactive and called the IT helpdesk. I logged a problem with Jeff who logged a work order with telecom, receipt no# 1167577. He asked me if there was any problem prior to today and I stated that it was after the phone system change. He asked if it had been moved and I asked if he wanted me to pick it up and throw it. He said that wasn't part of the process that he was aware of, but we could keep it in mind. So we parted happy that we had done what we could.

I then rang around the prison to find a fax that might work so that we could get the scripts to Unichem.

Murray in R/O told me to put a 1 in front of the number I wanted to fax to.

This works.

So when telecom ring to enquire as to why they are looking at or into a problem that does not appear to exist, tell them that we called Vodaphone and they came out and fixed the complex problem.

They ordered the psych nurse away from the fax machine.
